Former FTX US president Brett Harrison has secured $35 million in funding for Architect Financial Technologies, The Information reported today.

Founded in early 2023, the Chicago-based startup builds institutional trading software for derivatives, equities, futures, options, and digital assets. The fintech firm offers tools for algorithmic execution, market visualization, discretionary trading, and risk management.

Architect plans to expand into Europe and APAC, and maintains regulatory-compliant subsidiaries, including Architect Financial Derivatives LLC (NFA-registered) and Architect Securities LLC (FINRA-registered).

The latest funding follows a $12 million round in 2024 backed by prominent investors such as Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, SV Angel, SALT Fund, and P2P Validator. The financing aims to support brokerage expansions and tokenized asset products amid a surge in derivatives trading.

In October, Architect launched the AX exchange, offering crypto-style perpetual futures for traditional assets with enhanced security and regulatory oversight.
