Binance founder Changpeng Zhao is slated to participate in a fireside chat at the upcoming ASEAN Tech Summit Manila, according to a social media statement by FinTech Alliance.PH Founding Chairman Lito Villanueva.
Villanueva stated he will host the session covering digital assets, stablecoins, and the future of finance, describing the appearance as Zhao’s first public event in the Philippines. The statement did not explicitly clarify whether Zhao will attend in person or virtually.
Summit Scope and Registration Details
The conference will take place at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on Newport Boulevard in Newport City, Pasay. Organizers expect the event to gather more than 4,000 delegates from over 30 countries.
Summit passes for delegates and alliance members are priced at Php 15,000 plus value-added tax (VAT). Representatives from government agencies, regulatory bodies, sponsors, and knowledge partners will receive complimentary access.
Conference Agenda and Key Topics
According to event, discussions at the summit will center on six primary tracks: artificial intelligence and intelligent automation, cross-border finance and digital payments, cybersecurity and digital resilience, cloud and digital infrastructure, the data economy, and policy governance.
Event organizers noted that participating FinTech Alliance.PH members represent over 150 institutions and 110 million aggregate accounts, covering 95 percent of digital retail financial transactions in the Philippines.

The upcoming summit appearance follows a previous visit by Zhao to the Philippines in June, during which he held regulatory discussions with government officials and industry representatives.
In a social media post following that trip, Zhao disclosed meetings with Department of Finance Secretary Frederick Go and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairperson Francis Lim. The discussions coincided with the SEC PhiliFintech Innovation Office granting approval for domestic fintech firm BlockShoals Technologies Inc. to conduct operational testing under the “StratBox” regulatory sandbox framework, utilizing Binance’s technology infrastructure.
